The struggle of Communities against infrastructure project and exploration in Kenya

Lamu County, a region in the nord-east of Kenya is famous for its wild and unique biodiversity. But a massive infrastructure project, and related oil, gas and coal exploration endangered not only the environment. The local people depend directly on natural resources. Several indigenous communities in Lamu County are working together to develop a community protocol to address the problems and to protest. The Save Lamu organisation is the voice of these communities.
